Logan, in general, is a happy boy.
However, in the past two months, he's started showing flashes of temper when either a toy doesn't behave as he wants it to, or worse, one of US doesn't behave as he wants us to.
He even clearly has a fake cry, with his face all screwed up, but no tears present, which he does just when he's annoyed or wants our attention. This goes along with the fake laugh he's developed, which provokes real laughs from us. This often triggers a cycle of him fake-laughing, us real- laughing, him real-laughing, then fake-laughing, etc, etc, etc.
We observe him throwing toys to the ground, waving his arms, stomping his feet and often dancing himself into circles, trying to express his frustration. He's not a verbal boy, yet, still choosing to speak mostly in Logan language which involves many variations on the word "gah."
However, he clearly has different tones and inflections of that word for things. His words for milk, ride, walk, etc, are dissimilar, although to the outside observer, they may be the same. He also understands much more, which is typical for just about every situation with language. When you're learning a language, most people can hear what's being said long before they can reply.
We're not too worried about the temper now. We just calmly tell him to say, "Help, please" and then help him do whatever was frustrating him. When he gets more verbal and can express himself, we'll probably have a firmer line in the sand for his behavior.
Besides, when his brother or sister is born in March, we just won't be able to give him the 100% attention he's used to. At least not simultaneously, like we do now.
